2016 GP PATIENT SURVEY RESULTS

Here’s how we did in the latest patient survey…

79% of respondents with a preferred GP usually get to see or speak to that GP
This is above the local average of 61% and the national average of 59%

94% of respondents describe their experience of making an appointment as good
This is above the local average of 77% and the national average of 73%

92% of respondents find it easy to get through to this surgery by phone
This is above the local average of 76% and the national average of 73%

92% find the receptionists at this surgery helpful
This is above the local average of 89% and the national average of 87%

96% say the last nurse they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them
This is above the local and national averages of 91%

were able to get an appointment to see or speak to someone the last time they tried
This is above the local average of 89% and the national average of 85%

94% say the last appointment they got was convenient
This is above the local average of 93% and the national average of 92%

80% usually wait 15 minutes or less after their appointment time to be seen
This is better than the local average of 69% and the national average of 65%

75% feel they don't normally have to wait too long to be seen
This is better than the local average of 60% and the national average of 58%

90% say the last GP they saw or spoke to was good at giving them enough time
This is above the local average of 89% and the national average of  87%

89% say the last GP they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them
This is the same as the national average of 89%, the local average is 91%

90% say the last GP they saw or spoke to was good at explaining tests and treatments
This is above the local average of 89% and the national average of 86%

85% say the last GP they saw or spoke to was good at involving them in decisions about their care
This is above the national average of 82%, the local average is 86%

88% say the last GP they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern
This is above the national average of 85% and the same as the local average of 88%

96% had confidence and trust in the last GP they saw or spoke to
This is above the national average of 95%, The local average is 97%

95% say the last nurse they saw or spoke to was good at giving them enough time
This is above the local average of  93% and the national average of 92%

95% say the last nurse they saw or spoke to was good at explaining tests and treatments
This is above the local and national averages of 90%

95% say the last nurse they saw or spoke to was good at involving them in decisions about their care
This is above the local average of 84% and the national average of 85%

95% say the last nurse they saw or spoke to was good at treating them with care and concern

99% had confidence and trust in the last nurse they saw or spoke to

75% are satisfied with the surgery's opening hours
This is above the local average of 74% and the national average of 75%

94% describe their overall experience of this surgery as good

79% would recommend this surgery to someone new to the area
